Richard Guino is a French sculptor of Catalan origin. He is the son of an ebony cabinet maker who encouraged his son’s artistic training. Guino’s sculptures and sketches are a nod to the Mediterranean ideal of beauty. Guino’s art is able to a classic sense of feminine beauty while also acknowledging modernity. His sculptures were crafted out of a variety of materials including wood, wax, marble, bronze, plaster, ivory, and more. Guino is probably known best for his collaborations with August Rodin.
